It was unique audio launch and star studded event! Surya starrer Surya S/O Krishnan had its music launch today (October 10, 2008) in style at Prasad Multiplex, Hyderabad. No long speeches, no lengthy list of guests, but some good numbers played and rendered by the singers Karthik, Devan and Naresh Aiyer. Venkatesh, Ram Charan Teja and Priyamani were the chief guests graced the event. The film’s hero Surya, heroine Sameera Reddy, director Gautham Vasudeva Menon and music composer Haaris Jayaraj were specially flew down to Hyderabad from Chennai to attend the music launch. Sony BMG is marketing it in Telugu too. Venkatesh unveiled the audio CD albums and presented it to Ram Charan Teja while Priyamani released a song separately. Later the film’s two songs and promos were screened that received great response from the audiences. “There can't be a better combination than Gowtham-Surya-Harris Jayraj. I hope the film turns out to be bigger hit than their previous film,” Venkatesh wished the team. “I love Telugu people. They received me and my films with affection. Venkatesh is very close to me. About the film, it is close to my heart. I hope this music will be bigger hit than the Ghazini,” Surya, the film’s hero, said. Director Gowtham Menon said: "The film is a journey of a young man on the verge of life. It is also about the achievement of the youth. It is very special film in my career. Each member of the cast has worked hard to make this movie very very special. I thank them. Special thanks should be offered to legendary lyricist Veturi. Although he was not well, he came down to Chennai for music sittings and provided us beautiful lyrics. For Telugu version, Sashank Vennelakant's dialogues are great.” Ram Charan Teja said he would be working in Gowtham Menon’s film next year. He also said that Surya gives him the inspiration as actor. Sameera who looks ravishing now thanked Gowtham Menon for giving the opportunity. "I am a big fan of his Tamil film, Khaka Khaka.
