తెలుగు ఫిల్మ్ Nikhil to play hero in ‘Basanthi’

After the success of ‘Happy Days’ most of the lead artistes got opportunities to play solo heroes. Among them, Varun Sandesh got a very good opportunity with the successful producer Dil Raju giving him a chance in his film ‘Kotha Bangaru Lokam’ and that film was also proved a blockbuster. Next, it was the turn of Nikhil who started getting opportunities to play solo hero. One of his films, ‘Ankith, Pallavi and Friends’ was already released and strengthened his position to some extent, though the film is commercially was not so successful. His second film ‘Yuvatha’ is all set for release on November 7. In this backdrop, Nikhil was roped in as hero for another film called ‘Basanthi’ to be produced by Dream Merchants and presented by Start Camera Pictures. Uma Prakash, who was one of the producers of ‘Yuvatha’ and who had earlier co-produced ‘Mantra’ is the producer. Chaitanya Dantuluri, son of film journalist the late Narayana Varma, is making his debut as director through this movie. Producer Uma Prakash says, ‘We have completed the story sittings recently. The story would be liked by one and all. The regular shooting of the film would begin in December and we will release the film by next summer. Selection of heroine and other cast is in progress now.’ Music is by Manisharma, editing is by Marthand K Venkatesh, lyrics are by Krishna Chaitanya, action is by Ram-Lakshman, while KS Vivekananda would be the executive producer and V Durga Prasad is the co-producer.
