Eight Nandi's in a row for Raghavendra Rao

Having mass elements like song and stunt sequences is an inevitable part of Telugu cinema. This trend of commercialism was bought in by ace director K. Raghavendra Rao with his first movie ‘Babu’. The filmmaker made his first itself as a trendsetter and followed it with a series of appreciable movies. Every product of his received great applause from the viewers and also bagged awards from the state government. The maker left no stones unturned as he ventured even into the small screen. His soaps were made of disparate style that largely wooed the spectators. The state government of Andhra Pradesh made an announcement recently about the TV Nandi Awards 2007 to be presented for television programs. The list of awards has been dominated by Raghavendra Rao himself for his two mega serials ‘Narada Leelalu’ has bagged five and the telefilm ‘Ee Abaddam Nijam Kaadu’ has bagged three Nandi awards in entirety.
