Sindhu Tholani is one of those heroines who's doing heroine-oriented movies or at
least movies that have prominent female lead role. Films like Bathukamma and Black & White got her good name. I first did her interview at the time of Athanokkade and Gautham SSC. Later, she changed her mobile number and was thus not reachable. With the help of Srikanth Vemulapalli who directed her recent film Black & White, I could get back into contact with her when she came to Seattle (Washington, USA). Out of our chit-chat came another interview, presented exclusively for TeluguCinema.Com visitors:
Sri: Congratulations on the success of Black & White and Bathukamma!
Sindhu Tholani: Thanks, I am really enjoying having worked for both the films. It was really exciting to see success after doing real hard work!
Sri: What brings you to Seattle?
Sindhu Tholani: (Laughs) Just taking a break! ...I was working non-stop from January and I just needed to take some time off...
Sri: What motivated you to work for films like Bathukamma and Black & White? Were you not concerned about the risk involved in doing such off-beat films?!
Sindhu Tholani: Life is always risky! Bathukamma had a wonderful script and so did the more recent Black & White. Both films had enough importance to the heroine and also gave scope to perform.
Sindhu Tholani: I am doing a film in Tamil which is directed by S.A. Chandrasekhar (Hero Vijay's father and director of Telugu films like Devanthakudu in the past) and one in Telugu now.
